Since the early 80’s, HW Ventilation has been engineering and manufacturing HasconWing® axial flow fans (also referred to as axial impellers) for industries like air compressors, radiators and heat exchangers, industrial ventilators and for many other air movement applications. Each single application has specific requirements in terms of the performance of the axial fans which have to be employed. For this reason, we have designed axial fans having various blade shapes, sizes, type of material, hubs, etc.
Axial flow fans are characterized by blades that force air to move parallel to the shaft and move air linearly, along the axis of the fan. Depending on the type of the blade (right or left) and on the direction of the rotation (clockwise or anti-clockwise), the air flow produced by the fan can be sucking or blowing.
This type of fans are very versatile and flexible and can be employed in a wide range of applications that require to move air or exchange heat, even in those applications where strength an robustness at high revolutions per minute are key. Glass-reinforced plastics, aluminum and other special, anti-static materials are selected to manufacture blades that can operate in the most demanding conditions, like:
The right axial fan for a specific application can be easily determined by our engineers once the following application performances are defined:
Other characteristics, like the energy consumption levels are to be taken into account and become more and more important in the fan selection process. Energy efficiency policies, like the EU Energy Related Products (ErP) Directive for fans, force manufacturers of products in which an axial fan is built-in to select a combination motor/fan that comply with the requirements set by the regulation. Since a vast majority of our HasconWing® impellers are compliant with the ErP 2015, you can be sure that our engineers will provide you with the best solution for your needs.
